As a Speaker, Shirley is passionate about educating on how generational trauma keeps us from

living our best life through low self-esteem, negative thinking and feelings of not being good enough.

As a certified Trauma and Life Coach, Shirley is dedicated to empowering individuals to become more self-aware and to take control of their lives.  She believes that working through unresolved trauma paves the way for healing and growth, and enables people to live Brave, Bold, and Beyond.

As the creator of Trauma-Smart Leadership™ Shirley is passionate about training today’s leaders

(C-Level executives and upper and middle management) how to be exceptional leaders tomorrow. She has also created a training version for frontline employees to better deal with stress and stressful situations

And as a survivor of both cancer and domestic abuse (generational trauma), Shirley created the “Power Within Program.” This online course initiative equips those seeking confidence and empowerment with the tools necessary for self-care, self-love, and recognizing their true inherent value.  The program guides participants on a transformative journey to rebuild, reinvent, and rejuvenate their lives.

The Power Within Program was included in McMaster University’s Continuing Education 2023 fall semester, and the winter semester of 2025.
